To be eligible, children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year. Effective July 1, 2016, a new law lets parents whose children are born between Feb. 2 and Sept. 1 of the calendar year postpone enrolling their 4-year-old until the following year when their child is 5. Parents can choose from different educational settings and various program options. Private child care centers, public schools and specialized instructional services providers offer VPK. AAA Scholarship Foundation

AAA Scholarship Foundation (AAA), a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is an approved Scholarship Organization in the states of Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania. AAA awards Private School Tax Credit Scholarships to eligible students from eligible households to help them attend an eligible private school of their choice. McKay Scholarship

Florida's school choice programs allow parents to choose the best educational setting—public or private—for their child. The McKay Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities provided over 31,000 Florida students with special needs the opportunity to attend a participating private school during the 2016-17 school year. The McKay Scholarship Program also offers parents public school choice. A parent of an eligible special needs student may choose to transfer the student to another public school. Read More Apply Now

Step Up/Gardiner's Scholarship

Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer two scholarships for Florida schoolchildren: the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) for low-income families and the Gardiner Scholarship (PLSA) for children with certain special needs.
